Tick

Ticks are external parasites that are usually small, round and flat in body structure. They are usually 1-3 mm in size, but can grow significantly in size after taking a blood meal.

Ticks mostly live in forested areas, grassy areas and in environments where animals are present. Most species of ticks burrow under the skin or among the fur of animals and feed by sucking blood.

The most dangerous aspect of ticks is that they can transmit the diseases they carry to humans and animals. Diseases such as Lyme disease, tick-borne encephalitis, and Rocky Mountain Fever can be spread by ticks. Although tick bites are usually unnoticeable, reactions such as itching, redness, or swelling can occur at the bite site. In order to prevent ticks from harming humans, it is important to take protective measures, be careful in natural habitats, and take precautions against tick bites.
