Housefly
Houseflies are winged insects commonly found worldwide and frequently interact with humans.
Typically measuring between 6 mm and 13 mm in length, these flies are grayish-black in color and have fine hairs covering their bodies. One of their most distinctive features is their strong flying ability, which allows them to move quickly over short distances.
They prefer to feed on decaying organic matter, and their mouthparts are adapted to absorb liquids. Houseflies pose a significant threat to human health, as they can carry bacteria and microorganisms that may cause food poisoning and various infections. Their eggs and larvae usually develop in rotting food or waste materials, making houseflies one of the pests that require close attention from a hygiene perspective.
